I always enjoy playing Küffner's music on the uke: just my speed. Here is an adaptation for low 4th tuning of an arietta in

Brescianello - Minuet

From my "special" drawer where I keep those pieces that hold a mysterious attraction, this is an adaptation for low 4th tuning of a minuet from the Suite for colascione (or gallichon).

Ambrosio (Giovanni) - Amoroso

Might as well keep on dancing on those delightful 15th century Italian tunes.

Anonymous - Tristan's Lament

It really should have come before La Rotta, but better late...

The adapted tabs for high 4th tuning in TablEdit format and the PDF file.

The adapted tabs for low 4th tuning in TablEdit format (baritone tuning notation) and the PDF file.

The picture has nothing to do with "Il lamento di Tristano" of course: it is a portrait of Flora Tristan, whom I was reminded about when I chanced upon her pictures while googling Tristan's images. Aside from being Gauguin's grandmother, she was a totally interesting woman in her own right, an early advocate of women's and workers' rights: check her out.

Anon - La Rotta (High G)

It's been a while... I've been having too much fun with my metalworks.

Getting back on track with this Renaissance oldie but goldie.
