Branle double (Re-entrant)

From a 14th century Book of Hours from Flanders, another wonderfully expressive image of monkeys (apes?).

This is also a very easy piece."Bran(s)le simple" and "bran(s)le double" refer to the pattern of steps in the dance.

Branle (Re-entrant)

A frog and a snail listening to a monkey playing music. From a fifteenth century Book of hours.

This is a medieval bransle, very simple and easy to play.
